Do something that feels unnatural

s this really you? The discovery of the other side may prove to be worthwile. Who will provide the creatures needed on this pivotal moment? Can the androids be used to create? When we aligne our projections of the reality to be, even the darkest scenes will fill with the colours in which used to bathe. Released of stigma’s our full potential can be unlocked.

My previous work has mostly been about transitional periods in life. The models in their unusual positions represent a continuous search. For artists this is often about identity, but for most people it’s the ongoing need for meaning. The sole piece of clothing displays the unprotected feeling when passing through an introspective phase. The purposely underexposed scenes enhance the few natural colours, as only when all surrounding noise fades true meaning takes form. And at the centre are blue and pink, the centre of my spectrum.

Exhibition: Liesje Reyskens, Albus Lux Contemporary, Roosendaal; 19 March 2016 – 16 April 2016.
